Volunteering alongside me was Viveka my fellow local BC Ambassador Candidate as well as the three young ladies who were at the time Miss Osoyoos Candidates. Representing was Spirit of the Games Society was board of director member Mike Campol who is also an Osoyoos Town Council Member.
The Family fun area we volunteered at included several different kid friendly activities such as Face Painting, Spirit of the game tattoos, coloring, a fish pond and a Hot wheels race car track.
We also had a variety of prizes for the kids including a free Hot wheels car for every kid and a retro Osoyoos Town Coin if they went fishing in the fish pond :)
During the afternoon we happened to have a fabulous view of the motorbike
Show where they did tricks involving ramps. All in all it was a fabulous event and I had a wonderful afternoon helping out the Spirit of the Game Society and making all the kids happy!
Lastly for those who don't know the Spirit of the Game Society aims to give all Youth the opportunity to take part in organized Sports. It does this by using 100% donations to help assist families in Oliver and Osoyoos with the costs associated with sports such as league fees or equipment costs.
