V Day 2015 & the Vagina Monologues ~ Friday April 10th Performance

As a Member of V Day Oliver-Osoyoos  and a member of the 2015 Vagina Monologues Cast I was very much supported in my choice to become a 2015 British Columbia Ambassador Program Candidate (Follow me on Facebook here) and as such V Day Oliver-Osoyoos (their Facebook page)  invited both myself and Viveka Jensen (also from Osoyoos) to attend the Vagina Monologue Performances as British Columbia Ambassador Candidates.

We were allowed to set up a table and basically acted as greeters at the door.  

As British Columbia Ambassador Candidates Viveka and I both feel that it is important to give back to your community and as such we have decided that with every fundraiser we do either separately or together we will always choose a local group, organization or charity to highlight and make a donation to. During my Easter Extravaganza Community Fundraiser (read more here) I decided to make a donation to V Day Oliver-Osoyoos on behalf of Viveka and I. Now I want to stress that our main job as British Columbia Ambassador Candidates is to ultimately raise money for the Program which allocates that money back to us through Scholarships and bursaries. We as candidates do not have to do any charitable fundraising this is simply something that was extremely important to both Viveka and I to do separately along side our fundraising efforts for the Program.

During our time at the Friday Night performance both Viveka and I were lucky enough to win some Door Prizes from one of the Beneficiaries from tonight's performance The Okanagan Nation Emergency Transition House. Here is a picture of the prize I won 


Whenever I am involved in a production I always give out little cards to everyone involved (For the musical in the fall I wrote over 40 cards!) so here is a picture of the cards that I wrote out for the Vagina Monologues including cards for the Crew as well as the cast!
